Statement

 

I make videos and woodblock prints. The work is based on inspiring situations; visions that reflect a sense of the mundane and contemplation. A recording of space and time is present, but recognizable forms are inversed as their true nature is lost through isolation or unison. I try to develop these forms as a way to breakdown preconceptions, creating new meaning through subjective associations and formal parallels. The climax unfolds elsewhere while the build-up of tension is ever-present, becoming the memory of an event that repeats endlessly.
